Karen, Christopher, Melita, and Olga will present a program featuring piano and strings. The first half celebrates two inimitable 20th-century composers: Jean Françaix, whose vivacious Trio for Strings will awaken and delight the senses, and English composer Rebecca Clarke, with her dreamlike Morpheus for viola and piano. The program concludes with Johannes Brahms’s Piano Trio No. 1 in B Major, a large-scale work that, though reworked later in his life, still captures the extraordinary genius of the 21-year-old composer.
